Organized by local Amateur Radio operators in the Boca Raton area in 1995, it was created to fill the vacuum caused by the loss of the IBM Radio Club. This organization inherited and maintains the 145.290 MHz and 442.875 MHz Repeaters, and the 145.070 MHz Packet Repeater. They continue the honorable traditions of providing emergency communications to South Florida. Its membership is no longer limited to IBM employees and is open to the public. BRARA has a net that meets every Monday night at 7:30pm on the 145.290r. The purpose of the net is to become acquainted with Hams in general, their club members, station's signal quality and equipment conditions. Club business may be discussed as appropriate or any other item may be submitted to the net.

In existence since 1967, the FAU Amateur Radio Club has provided an exposure to Amateur Radio for many students. It regularly coordinates volunteer communications operations for community activities such as March of Dimes Walk-a-thon, American Heart Association Heart Walks, and triathlons. In addition, it is one of the central organizations in the Amateur Radio Emergency Service for southern Palm Beach County, providing communications facilities and staff. The Jupiter-Tequesta Repeater Group is located in Jupiter Florida and was established in 1979 to further the art of amateur radio communication, serve the public, and promote high standards in amateur radio. The club operates two repeaters, KF4BHE/R on 146.625 MHz and 444.225 MHz. Our VHF repeater system serves as the Northern Palm Beach County ARES/RACES repeater. They are an American Radio Relay League affiliated club in the Southern Florida Section. Consideration for membership may be submitted to the Secretary; Fred Guillium, KD4QHI Secretary and Treasurer. Associated with the American Radio Relay League, ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Service) has provided civilian emergency communication capabilities for better than 50 years. It is a civilian organization. RACES (Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service) unlike ARES is an extension of the Government and provides disaster communications during periods when normal government communications are unavailable, or require augmentation. In Palm Beach County, the two organizations act in a unified network with the entire ARES organization becoming a part of the RACES organization during times of declared emergency. In this way, the organization can participate in pre-disaster preparations, disaster operations, and post-disaster clean up without disruptive organizational changes.

Siemens Amateur Radio Club was created in 1986 by employees of Siemens Corporation (a subsidiary of Siemens AG). Since January of 1991, it has provided Amateur Radio License Testing services to the public at Spanish River High School. In cooperation with ARES/RACES it provides volunteer communications services for community activities in the South County Area. It operates the 444.925 MHz Repeater.
